Dusty racing goodness

Finally gonna post my pics from the AMA Flat Track race from last month.

Been here in Phoenix for only 5 months and I already got to see my first flat track race in my life. It was on a mile track too, so the bikes were really thumpin.

It was windy and pretty chilly, the track was very dry and altitude was an added factor in Prescott, AZ. ...and i got star struck when i saw Chris Carr (fastest man on two wheels) , since my dad and i have been doing a bit of land speed trials @ the Texas Mile

Brought my digital Canon Rebel w/ telephoto lense and my new super tiny Diana Mini 35mm camera.

I read all about the Kaw Team, so it was great to see this machine tearing around the mile track

This is a very beautiful twin from a Triumph street tracker on display

Those are just a slice of the massive amount of photos taken.

The final 2 round of the 2010 AMA flat track will come back to Prescott, AZ

in October so expect more and more flat track action

Alright been going to MMI for 3 months already

and everyday it's motorcycles!!!

I couldn't ask for more,

...except a friend flaked out on a road trip with a couple others and my g/f

out here to AZ from TX. So i don't get to see my hard working g/f this week.

But heres some entertainment from Phoenix and school:

OK here we go

Well now that its been a few months for my blog to collect some dust.

My current status in life is now among the ranks of a college grad, but thats not all.

I also took it upon myself to head out west to Phoenix,AZ to attend MMI (Motorcycle Mechanics Institute), basically the same atmosphere of high school except with tons of dudes and tats.

Anyways here a recap of the past few months in pictures.

starting from new years (of course) back in Texas

So after that i had some hanging out to do and people to catch up with before my big departure

Finally hit the road to Phoenix, AZ to meet up with my new room mate, Mike who has worked at my dad's shop for a few years and now has been at MMI since October(09)

So after my second week, Mike got free awesome tickets to the AMA supercross

got to watch Mr #1 (Stewart) on his new 2010 Yammie

AND we got to sit next to Mike Metzger

Me soaking in this tasty Bultaco tracker, with a bunch of other vintage bikes there

Rainy weather always calls for some leisure entertainment
of the always classic, record player.

Birthday-ness

My old room mate, Ken and I celebrated our birthday by having our gf's taking us to the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin.
To check out this film, Beautiful Losers
Nicely put together film about people that make art.
Super hilarious, I highly recommend it.
