When i think of Austin, TX for the summer I'd rather make sure i make it to Chaos En Tejas, than that R.O.T. Biker Motorcycle Rally.   I'd pay to see any and all of these bands, plus there's always killer free shows as well.  Support awesome music fests than your annual douche biker rally...and keep austin weird....

Larry McBride rocks an all out Electric Dragbike down the drag strip in the 6 seconds at 200mph.
love it or hate it, McBride does what he does best and thats riding bikes WFO on the strip.
The bar has been set pretty high now.  I'm the only one in my family that hasn't met this man.

to the country of hills

With a few days off from work, had to hit up the Texas Hill Country w/ my good friend, Jan.  Rode my Suzuki sv650 and Jan on his '12 Triumph 675R.   Weather was perfect with no hiccups from the bikes.  Smooth sailing once we got up to San Antonio.  Rode up to Fredricksburg and the surrounding area for some ridiculous perfect roads for motorcycles.   2nd gear up and downhill turns to my favorite 4th gear 40-70mph twists!   killed quite a few bugs and rode over a few snakes.  Glad we didn't encounter any deer or large vultures.    Got an invite to do the last Pancho Run with Slo V and the boys but had to turn it down. Hope those dudes are grinning ear to ear in there chopper flith.  Heard the Wizard is out on his Bueller.

Corpus Gold, is a local garage group from here in CC,TX.  Consists of Abel (guitar) and Rita (drums), who know exactly how to rock out.  Can't say enough about these two but definitely bring a great sound and vibe for their live shows.  Here's  sample of some of their groovy jams on youtube with some psychedelic footage to keep it in perspective.

nothing this awesome ever happens in South Texas. Very surprised at the turn out of machines and riders not to mention some really good racing. got my $10 worth. Got an eyeful and earful from all the bikes and racing going on.Went to go watch one of our local boys, Wesley race his track ready CRF450. He was surprisingly fast for only been to the track 3 times.  He took a spill and didn't race the 2nd race. Glad to see more young people getting into dirt racing!
